- A single deceased donor can potentially save up to eight lives through vital organ donation.
- Tissues such as corneas, skin, bones, tendons and heart valves can also be donated in suitable cases.
- Organ allocation is based on factors such as blood group, body size, medical condition and urgency of transplantation.
