Tanya Chaudhary broke the national record of women's hammer throw at the Indian Athletics Series Final in Delhi before the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Tanya, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, created history by jumping 68.35 metres to break her own national record of 67.02 metres set by the reigning national record-holder Anushka Yadav in June.
