- On the 10th Ayurveda Day, Union Minister of State for Ayush (IC) and Health & Family Welfare, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, inaugurated “Prayas” at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa. This first-of-its-kind Integrated Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre combines Ayurveda, Yoga, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Modern Paediatrics under one roof, primarily serving children with neurological and developmental conditions.
- The minister described “Prayas” as a pioneering model of integrative care that not only provides treatment but also enhances quality of life and family support. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, MoS for Power & New & Renewable Energy, emphasized its role in tackling complex neurological disorders.
- Prof. P.K. Prajapati, Director of AIIA, stated that the centre represents AIIA’s vision for evidence-based integrative medicine, while Prof. Sujata Kadam, Dean of AIIA Goa, highlighted its significance in patient care, research, and professional training.
- The launch aligns with India’s National Health Policy and global best practices, positioning “Prayas” as a model for future integrative healthcare systems in India.
