- Mount Elbrus is located in the Caucasus Mountains of Russia, and stands at an altitude of eighteen thousand five hundred ten feet, or five thousand six hundred forty two metres.
- The summit expedition was officially certified by the Mountaineering, Rock Climbing and Sports Tourism Federation of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of Russia, which oversees mountaineering activities in that region.
