• Southern Railway is set to launch India’s first coast-to-coast parcel express service between Royapuram in Chennai and Mangaluru Central, creating a dedicated logistics corridor that boosts freight mobility across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The service provides a time-tabled and dependable delivery system tailored for business requirements.
• सदर्न रेलवे चेन्नई के रॉयापुरम और मंगलूरु सेंट्रल के बीच भारत की पहली कोस्ट-टू-कोस्ट पार्सल एक्सप्रेस सेवा शुरू करने जा रहा है। यह विशेष लॉजिस्टिक्स कॉरिडोर तमिलनाडु और केरल में माल परिवहन क्षमता को बढ़ाएगा और व्यापारिक आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार समयबद्ध एवं विश्वसनीय डिलीवरी व्यवस्था प्रदान करेगा।
• The service will commence on 12 December, departing from Mangaluru Central in the afternoon and reaching Chennai the following day. The return journey begins on 16 December from Royapuram. Weekly operations are scheduled—Fridays from Mangaluru and Tuesdays from Chennai. Key commercial halts include Salem, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod, ensuring efficient parcel handling across major hubs.
• सेवा 12 दिसंबर को मंगलूरु सेंट्रल से दोपहर में प्रस्थान करके अगले दिन चेन्नई पहुंचेगी। वापसी यात्रा 16 दिसंबर को रॉयापुरम से शुरू होगी। साप्ताहिक संचालन तय किए गए हैं—मंगलूरु से शुक्रवार और चेन्नई से मंगलवार को। सलेम, तिरुप्पूर, कोयंबटूर, पलक्कड़, कोझिकोड, कन्नूर और कासरगोड जैसे प्रमुख वाणिज्यिक ठहरावों से विभिन्न केंद्रों पर सुचारु पार्सल प्रबंधन सुनिश्चित होगा।
• The train includes high-capacity parcel vans along with luggage-cum-brake vans. Each coach is clearly labelled for specific destinations to simplify loading and unloading. This dedicated design enables quicker turnaround, reduces congestion and ensures organised parcel management at all intermediate stops.
