  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of ₹12,000 crore worth of development projects in Gaya on 22 August 2025 represents a significant step in Bihar’s transformation journey.
  • Speaking from Bodh Gaya, a land of spiritual heritage and historical pride, the Prime Minister underscored the state’s dual role in India’s cultural identity and national progress.
  • The projects cover critical areas — infrastructure, power, healthcare, housing, and railways. Among them, the Aunta–Simaria Bridge (₹1,870 crore) and the Bakhtiyarpur–Mokama four-lane section (₹1,900 crore) will drastically cut travel time, easing passenger and freight movement while improving regional integration between North and South Bihar.
