National Anubhav Awards 2025 Mark a Decade of Honouring Retired Government Employees’ Memoirs
  • The National Anubhav Awards 2025 commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Anubhav Portal, an initiative launched in 2015 to document the personal memoirs and experiences of retiring government officials.
  • Conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the portal aims to preserve India’s institutional memory and administrative history through first-hand narratives.
  • Managed by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), the portal invites write-ups from employees up to eight months before retirement or within three years after, with submissions evaluated and published by the respective ministries.

Growth and Evolution of the Scheme:

  • 2015: Scheme launched with 5 National Anubhav Awards.
  • 2022: Introduction of the ‘Anubhav Awardees’ Speak’ webinar series to inspire soon-to-retire employees.
  • 2023: Addition of 10 Anubhav Jury Awards alongside the main 5 awards; awards reserved for three pay scale groups (Levels 1–6, 7–12, and 13+).
  • 2024: Adoption of an objective marking system; eligibility extended to 12 Public Sector Banks and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
  • 2025: Marks for feedback and suggestions added to the evaluation criteria; notification issued for the National Anubhav Awards Scheme 2026.
  • Over the past decade, the National Anubhav Awards have evolved into a prestigious recognition, celebrating the invaluable service, insights, and legacy of India’s retired employees while inspiring the next generation of administrators.
