• Developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services, LDB 2.0 expands beyond Indian ports to offer high-seas container tracking, integrating data from road, rail, and sea transport modes.
• This multi-modal platform allows seamless shipment monitoring, enabling better coordination across stakeholders in the logistics chain.
• The system offers features such as real-time container tracking by container numbers, trailer IDs, or railway Freight Network Records (FNRs).
• A live container heatmap provides geographical distribution of cargo, helping to quickly identify bottlenecks. Integration with the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) APIs ensures greater accuracy and accessibility of data.
• By reducing logistics costs and improving resource allocation, LDB 2.0 benefits exporters, MSMEs, and government agencies. It strengthens India’s logistics competitiveness while supporting policy-making with reliable, transparent data.
• Aligned with the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat @2047, the initiative builds a robust digital backbone for India’s logistics sector, enhancing trade efficiency and reinforcing India’s role in global supply chains.
