• Maharashtra has been declared the top-performing state in the ‘Best State’ category at the 6th National Water Awards 2024, organised by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti.
• महाराष्ट्र को जल शक्ति मंत्रालय द्वारा आयोजित 6वें राष्ट्रीय जल पुरस्कार 2024 में ‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ राज्य’ श्रेणी में शीर्ष प्रदर्शन करने वाला राज्य घोषित किया गया।
• The awards recognise excellence in water conservation and management, and will be presented by President Droupadi Murmu on 18 November 2025 in New Delhi.
• यह पुरस्कार जल संरक्षण और प्रबंधन में उत्कृष्ट कार्य के लिए दिए जाते हैं, जिन्हें राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू द्वारा 18 नवंबर 2025 को नई दिल्ली में प्रदान किया जाएगा।
• Gujarat and Haryana secured the second and third positions respectively, while Maharashtra’s success was driven by its integrated watershed management and efficient irrigation practices.
• गुजरात और हरियाणा ने क्रमशः दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि महाराष्ट्र की सफलता का कारण उसका एकीकृत जलग्रहण प्रबंधन और कुशल सिंचाई पद्धतियाँ रहीं।
• The National Water Awards feature 46 awards across categories like Best District, Village Panchayat, Urban Local Body, Industry, Institution, and Individual for water conservation efforts.
• राष्ट्रीय जल पुरस्कारों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ जिला, ग्राम पंचायत, शहरी स्थानीय निकाय, उद्योग, संस्थान और व्यक्तिगत योगदान जैसी श्रेणियों में कुल 46 पुरस्कार प्रदान किए जाएंगे।
• Under the ‘Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 1.0’ initiative, Telangana topped the list with 5.2 lakh water conservation structures, followed by Chhattisgarh (4.05 lakh) and Rajasthan (3.64 lakh).
• ‘जल संचय जन भागीदारी 1.0’ पहल के तहत तेलंगाना ने 5.2 लाख जल संरक्षण संरचनाओं के साथ पहला स्थान हासिल किया, जबकि छत्तीसगढ़ (4.05 लाख) और राजस्थान (3.64 लाख) क्रमशः दूसरे और तीसरे स्थान पर रहे।
