• Senior IAS officer Mahantesh Bilagi died in a tragic road accident in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district on Monday. The 51-year-old officer was travelling with two relatives when their vehicle crashed near Gounahalli village, resulting in a fatal impact.
• कर्नाटक के कलबुर्गी जिले में सोमवार को हुए सड़क हादसे में वरिष्ठ IAS अधिकारी महांतेश बिलगी का दुखद निधन हो गया। 51 वर्षीय बिलगी अपने दो रिश्तेदारों के साथ यात्रा कर रहे थे, जब गौनहल्लि गांव के पास उनकी गाड़ी दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गई और भीषण टक्कर में तीनों की मौत हो गई।
• Bilagi was on his way to attend a relative’s wedding when the accident occurred. His co-passengers, Shankar Bilagi and Eranna Bilagi, also lost their lives. Police have registered a case and begun investigating the cause of the crash. He was rushed to a private hospital in Kalaburagi, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
• बिलगी एक रिश्तेदार की शादी में शामिल होने जा रहे थे तभी यह हादसा हुआ। उनके साथ मौजूद शंकर बिलगी और एरन्ना बिलगी की भी मौके पर ही जान चली गई। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और दुर्घटना के कारणों की जांच शुरू कर दी है। उन्हें कलबुर्गी के एक निजी अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहाँ इलाज के दौरान उनकी मृत्यु हो गई।
• At the time of his death, Mahantesh Bilagi was serving as the Managing Director of the Karnataka State Minerals Corporation Limited. His career included key administrative roles such as Managing Director of BESCOM. He had also served as CEO of Zilla Panchayats in several districts and worked as a District Collector.
• मृत्यु के समय महांतेश बिलगी कर्नाटक स्टेट मिनरल्स कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्यरत थे। अपने करियर में उन्होंने BESCOM के प्रबंध निदेशक जैसे महत्वपूर्ण पद संभाले। वह कई जिलों में ज़िला पंचायतों के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी और जिला कलेक्टर के रूप में भी सेवाएँ दे चुके थे।
• Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed deep grief over his demise, praising his integrity and dedication. He said Bilagi made meaningful contributions wherever he served. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar described him as a committed officer known for impactful public service, calling his loss irreplaceable.
• कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धारमैया ने बिलगी के निधन पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया और उनकी निष्ठा व ईमानदारी की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि बिलगी जहाँ भी कार्यरत रहे, वहाँ महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया। उपमुख्यमंत्री डी.के. शिवकुमार ने उन्हें एक समर्पित अधिकारी बताया, जो सार्वजनिक सेवा में प्रभावी पहलों के लिए जाने जाते थे, और उनकी मौत को समाज के लिए अपूरणीय क्षति बताया।
