• Amshi Prasannakumar, senior journalist from Mysuru, has been selected for the Hombale Samhita Harinikumar Alumni Krishi Media Award – 2025.
• The award, presented annually by the Alumni Association of the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, recognises excellence in agricultural and rural development reporting.
• The award ceremony will be held on October 11, 2025, at the Veterinary College Campus, Hebbal, Bengaluru.
• A former President of the Mysore District Journalists’ Association and member of the Karnataka Media Academy, Prasannakumar is known for highlighting farmer issues and agricultural practices through print and electronic media.
• The award aims to encourage quality agricultural journalism and inspire young journalists.
