Why in News?
INS Mysore arrived at Lumut, Malaysia on 09 September 2026 for the 4th edition of Exercise Samudra Laksamana, a bilateral maritime exercise between Indian Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy.
Key Highlights
- The exercise takes place as part of Indian Navy's Operational Deployment.
- INS Mysore and her crew were welcomed with great enthusiasm by personnel of the Royal Malaysian Navy and the officers of High Commission of India in Malaysia.
- Exercise Samudra Laksamana involves professional engagements in harbour and at sea such as: Cross-deck visits, Operational interactions and Sporting engagements
- This will provide the opportunity for the personnel of both Navies to share professional experiences, to increase interoperability and to foster greater mutual understanding.
