• The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Mahe, the first vessel of the Mahe-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), marking a major achievement in India’s journey toward naval self-reliance and maritime capability building. The commissioning ceremony at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai officially inducts a new generation of fast and highly indigenous shallow-water combatants into active service.
• भारतीय नौसेना ने ‘आईएनएस माहे’ को कमीशन कर दिया है, जो माहे-क्लास एंटी-सबमरीन वॉरफेयर शैलो वाटर क्राफ्ट (ASW-SWC) वर्ग का पहला पोत है। यह भारत की नौसैनिक आत्मनिर्भरता और समुद्री क्षमता निर्माण की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम है। मुंबई के नेवल डॉकयार्ड में आयोजित कमीशनिंग समारोह से तेज, स्वदेशी और उथले पानी के युद्धक पोतों की एक नई पीढ़ी आधिकारिक रूप से नौसेना में शामिल हुई है।
• The ceremony was hosted by Vice-Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, while Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi presided over the event, symbolising strong inter-service collaboration. The induction demonstrates India’s rising focus on maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
