Why in News?
The Indian Army plans to set up training centres at district headquarters across Telangana to help local youth prepare for Army recruitment.

- The centres will provide information and guidance on the Army recruitment process.
- The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Lieutenant General C. Rajesh Pushkar, GOC-in-C, Southern Command, and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
- The Army also offered assistance to the state during floods and other emergencies, including rescue, evacuation and rehabilitation.
- The move is expected to give more young people in Telangana better access to Army recruitment and preparation facilities.
