• The CCPI 2026 was released on the sidelines of COP30 in Belem, Brazil. It evaluates the climate mitigation performance of 63 countries + the EU, which together account for over 90% of global GHG emissions. Countries are rated in four categories:

• Climate policy
• No country ranks in the top three positions, as none is considered compatible with limiting dangerous climate change.
