• Equipped for Shallow-Water ASW Missions:
• Mahe is the first of eight ASW shallow-water craft built by Cochin Shipyard Limited. It carries lightweight torpedoes, anti-submarine rocket systems and advanced radar–sonar suites for quick detection and engagement of hostile submarines near the coastline.

• Named after the coastal town of Mahe in Puducherry, the craft’s crest features the traditional ‘Urumi’ sword from Kalarippayattu, representing agility, precision and heritage-linked naval identity.
