The Union Home and Cooperation Minister inaugurated Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU) in Anand, Gujarat, marking it as India’s first national cooperative university. The university supports the vision of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation).

Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU):

  • Named after: Tribhuvandas Kishibhai Patel, founder of Amul and pioneer of India’s cooperative movement.
  • Legal Status: To be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
  • Mission: To strengthen the cooperative ecosystem through academic and professional education.
