• India and France have taken a major step toward expanding defence cooperation with the signing of a new technical agreement focused on joint research and development. The pact links India’s Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and France’s Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) under a formal framework aimed at advancing next-generation military technologies through shared capabilities and resources.
• भारत और फ्रांस ने संयुक्त अनुसंधान और विकास पर केंद्रित एक नए तकनीकी समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करके रक्षा सहयोग को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। यह समझौता भारत के रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) और फ्रांस के डायरेक्टरेट जनरल ऑफ आर्मामेंट्स (DGA) को एक औपचारिक ढांचे में जोड़ता है, जिसका उद्देश्य साझा संसाधनों और विशेषज्ञता के माध्यम से अगली पीढ़ी की सैन्य प्रौद्योगिकियों को विकसित करना है।
• The agreement creates a defined mechanism to support joint research across multiple specialised domains. It enables coordinated programmes, shared laboratories and jointly conducted studies focused on emerging defence technologies. Both countries aim to accelerate innovation through unified and complementary scientific efforts.
• यह समझौता कई विशेष क्षेत्रों में संयुक्त अनुसंधान को समर्थन देने के लिए एक स्पष्ट व्यवस्था तैयार करता है। यह समन्वित कार्यक्रमों, साझा प्रयोगशालाओं और उभरती रक्षा प्रौद्योगिकियों पर संयुक्त अध्ययन को सक्षम बनाता है। दोनों देश एकीकृत और परिपूरक वैज्ञानिक प्रयासों के माध्यम से रक्षा नवाचार की गति बढ़ाने का लक्ष्य रखते हैं।
• A key highlight of the pact is its focus on skill development and operational synergy. It includes joint training programmes, collaborative testing opportunities and the exchange of technical information. Regular workshops and seminars will ensure continued interaction between Indian and French defence researchers and engineers.
• समझौते की प्रमुख विशेषताओं में कौशल विकास और परिचालन तालमेल पर जोर शामिल है। इसमें संयुक्त प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम, सहयोगात्मक परीक्षण अवसर और तकनीकी जानकारी के आदान-प्रदान का प्रावधान है। नियमित कार्यशालाएँ और सेमिनार भारतीय और फ्रांसीसी रक्षा वैज्ञानिकों तथा इंजीनियरों के बीच निरंतर सहयोग सुनिश्चित करेंगे।
• The collaboration spans a wide range of cutting-edge defence sectors. Priority areas include aeronautical platforms, unmanned systems, advanced materials, cyber security, artificial intelligence, space-based capabilities, navigation systems, advanced propulsion, sensors, quantum technologies and underwater technologies.
• इस सहयोग में अत्याधुनिक रक्षा क्षेत्रों की विस्तृत श्रृंखला शामिल है। प्राथमिक क्षेत्र हैं—विमानन प्लेटफॉर्म, मानव रहित प्रणालियाँ, उन्नत सामग्री, साइबर सुरक्षा, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, अंतरिक्ष-आधारित क्षमताएँ, नेविगेशन सिस्टम, उन्नत प्रणोदन, सेंसर, क्वांटम प्रौद्योगिकियाँ और अंडरवाटर प्रौद्योगिकियाँ।
