• The opening session witnessed broad participation from multiple stakeholders, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Assam and Manipur Police, District Administration, Intelligence Agencies, NDRF, SDRF, BRO, GREF, Railways, Medical Officials, educational institutions, Oil India Limited (OIL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Coal India, and local media representatives.
• Their involvement highlighted the importance of multi-agency coordination in building resilience and readiness.
• The exercise seeks to refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strengthen communication channels, and conduct practical rehearsals for joint operations during emergencies such as insurgency, natural disasters, and infrastructure disruptions.
• It emphasizes the need for seamless coordination among armed forces, civil authorities, and local institutions to safeguard the people of Upper Assam and Manipur.
