The Foundation to Educate Girls Globally (Educate Girls) has received the Ramon Magsaysay Award 2025, becoming the first Indian organisation to be honoured with this recognition. The award acknowledges its remarkable efforts in challenging cultural stereotypes, empowering girls through education, and equipping them with skills and confidence to overcome illiteracy. Alongside Educate Girls, Shaahina Ali from the Maldives and Flaviano Antonio L Villanueva from the Philippines were also recognised for their contributions to public service.
