- India has taken a major leap in defence technology with the successful test of the UAV-Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM)-V3, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). This missile, integrated with drones, signifies India’s growing capability in precision strike systems and marks a step forward in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
- The ULPGM project is part of India’s mission to develop advanced missile systems deployable via Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The latest test was conducted at the National Open Area Range (NOAR) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with private defence companies, MSMEs, and startups.
