- The Dhansiri River is a major tributary of the Brahmaputra River and flows through Nagaland and Assam.
- It originates from Laishang Peak in the Naga Hills of Nagaland.
- The river is about 352 km long and is the main river of Golaghat district (Assam) and Dimapur district (Nagaland).
- It flows along the Assam–Nagaland border and passes through ecologically important areas such as the Dhansiri Reserved Forest and Intanki National Park, which support rich biodiversity.
