Launch of ‘SabhaSaar’ in Tripura on August 15:
- The Government of India will introduce ‘SabhaSaar’, an AI-powered tool, in Tripura on Independence Day.
- The tool is designed to automatically generate minutes of gram sabha meetings, which serve as the primary decision-making bodies under the Panchayati Raj system.
Powered by Bhashini for Multilingual Transcription:
- Built on the government’s Bhashini AI language translation platform, SabhaSaar can transcribe and summarise gram sabha proceedings from audio or video recordings.
- It supports all major Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, as well as English.
- Panchayat officials can upload recordings using their e-GramSwaraj credentials.
Enhancing Efficiency and Transparency in Rural Governance:
- The introduction of SabhaSaar will bring uniformity to gram sabha documentation across the nation, enabling stakeholders to instantly access accurate and multilingual meeting records.
- The tool is expected to save time, improve accuracy, and strengthen transparency in rural development and governance processes.
