• Amaravati is set to become India’s first integrated Financial City, marking a major step in the nation’s economic and infrastructure growth. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the initiative during her visit to the capital region, where she and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stones for multiple nationalised banks and financial institutions.
• अमरावती अब भारत की पहली इंटीग्रेटेड फाइनेंशियल सिटी बनने जा रही है। यह देश के आर्थिक और इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकास में एक बड़ा कदम माना जा रहा है। केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने राजधानी क्षेत्र के दौरे के दौरान इसकी घोषणा की, जहाँ उन्होंने और मुख्यमंत्री चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने कई राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंकों और वित्तीय संस्थानों की आधारशिला रखी।
• The Financial City will bring all major public sector financial institutions to one master-planned location. Sitharaman described it as a unique opportunity for banks to develop world-class facilities in a capital being built from scratch. Several nationalised banks have already begun construction, marking renewed momentum for Amaravati’s long-delayed development.
• यह फाइनेंशियल सिटी सभी प्रमुख सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की वित्तीय संस्थाओं को एक ही योजनाबद्ध स्थान पर लाएगी। सीतारमण ने इसे बैंकों के लिए एक ‘रेयर अपॉर्च्युनिटी’ बताया, जिसमें वे एक नई राजधानी में अत्याधुनिक सुविधाएँ विकसित कर सकते हैं। कई राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंकों ने निर्माण कार्य शुरू भी कर दिया है, जिससे अमरावती के लंबे समय से रुके विकास को गति मिली है।
• Infrastructure work has been initiated by major institutions including SBI, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of India, Indian Bank, AP Grameena Vikas Bank, AP Cooperative Bank, NABARD, LIC and New India Assurance. The hub will directly employ over 6,500 people and is expected to significantly boost economic activity across Andhra Pradesh.
• इस परियोजना में SBI, यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, केनरा बैंक, बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा, सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, पंजाब नेशनल बैंक, IDBI बैंक, इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक, बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, इंडियन बैंक, एपी ग्रामीण विकास बैंक, एपी कोऑपरेटिव बैंक, NABARD, LIC और न्यू इंडिया एश्योरेंस शामिल हैं। यह हब सीधे 6,500 से अधिक लोगों को रोजगार देगा और पूरे आंध्र प्रदेश में आर्थिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देगा।
• Sitharaman highlighted that a capital city must stand on strong economic pillars, praising the decision to cluster over fifteen state-owned banks and insurers in Amaravati’s Financial District. She also honoured the farmers who donated land for the capital and urged banks to ensure easier access to credit, stronger financial services and wider economic support for the farming community beyond traditional loan schemes.
• सीतारमण ने कहा कि किसी राजधानी का विकास मजबूत आर्थिक आधार पर होता है, और अमरावती में पंद्रह से अधिक सरकारी बैंक व बीमा संस्थानों को एक साथ लाने का निर्णय इसी दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। उन्होंने राजधानी के लिए भूमि दान करने वाले किसानों का सम्मान किया और बैंकों से किसानों को आसान ऋण, बेहतर वित्तीय सेवाएँ और पारंपरिक योजनाओं से आगे बढ़कर व्यापक आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान करने की अपील की।
