About
- It is Andhra Pradesh's first greenfield international airport after the 2014 bifurcation of the state.
- Developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited.
- The first phase has the capacity to handle 6 million passengers annually.
- Commercial flight operations will begin on 17 August 2026.
