ACJ Partners with Interlink Academy (Germany) to Launch Climate Change Media Hub in Chennai
  • The Asian College of Journalism (ACJ), Chennai, in collaboration with Interlink Academy, Germany, will launch a Climate Change Media Hub in November 2025 to enhance climate and environmental journalism in India. The hub will serve as a centre for training, resource creation, and networking among journalists covering environment and sustainability issues.
  •  Two flagship eight-month programmes will be rolled out over three years: (i) Climate Change Residency Programme for senior journalists with 7+ years’ experience, including newsroom professionals and freelancers, and (ii) Climate Change Mentorship Programme, aimed at guiding reporters on effective climate coverage.
  •  The last date for registration is 3 October 2025 via ACJ’s official website (asianmedia.org). The initiative is seen as a step toward bridging the knowledge gap in climate reporting, improving accuracy, and increasing media visibility on critical environmental challenges facing India and the world.
  •  Experts say that such dedicated journalism hubs are crucial for addressing misinformation, building informed public discourse, and supporting India’s commitments under global climate agreements.
