• Celebrating historic bravery:
• The 63rd Walong Day, observed on 15–16 November 2025 in Arunachal Pradesh, honoured the extraordinary courage of Indian soldiers who fought the 1962 Battle of Walong, bringing together military leaders, veterans and citizens.
• ऐतिहासिक वीरता का सम्मान:
• 15–16 नवंबर 2025 को अरुणाचल प्रदेश में मनाया गया 63वां वालोंग दिवस 1962 के वालोंग युद्ध में लड़ने वाले भारतीय सैनिकों की असाधारण वीरता को सम्मानित करता है, जिसमें सैन्य अधिकारी, ветераन और नागरिक एकत्रित हुए।
• Tributes at Walong War Memorial:
• Senior military leaders, including the Eastern Army Commander and GOC Spear Corps, joined the Deputy Chief Minister in laying wreaths at the Walong War Memorial, followed by the unveiling of statues dedicated to the soldiers of the high-altitude battle.
• वालोंग युद्ध स्मारक पर श्रद्धांजलि:
• ईस्टर्न आर्मी कमांडर और जीओसी स्पीयर कॉर्प्स सहित वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारियों ने उपमुख्यमंत्री के साथ वालोंग युद्ध स्मारक पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की, जिसके बाद ऊँचाई वाले सीमांत युद्ध के वीरों की प्रतिमाओं का अनावरण किया गया।
• Cultural homage through performances:
• Walong Day eve featured a Light and Sound Show, drone formations, sand art and musical-cultural presentations narrating the valour of Indian troops who fought in harsh Himalayan conditions.
• सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से सम्मान:
• वालोंग दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर लाइट एंड साउंड शो, ड्रोन फॉर्मेशन, सैंड आर्ट और सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों के जरिए हिमालयी परिस्थितियों में लड़े भारतीय सैनिकों की कहानी को जीवंत किया गया।
• Honouring the 388 martyrs:
• Arunachal Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister paid homage to the 388 soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice, highlighting the deep civil–military bond shared by local communities and the Army.
• 388 शहीदों को नमन:
• अरुणाचल प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री ने उन 388 सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि दी जिन्होंने सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया, और स्थानीय समुदायों तथा सेना के बीच गहरे नागरिक–सैन्य संबंध को रेखांकित किया।
• Vision for heritage and tourism:
• The state leadership announced plans to develop Walong as a historical and tourism destination, proposing initiatives such as the Sunrise Festival, a War Memorial Museum and improved digital and road connectivity.
• विरासत और पर्यटन की नई दिशा:
• राज्य नेतृत्व ने वालोंग को ऐतिहासिक और पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में विकसित करने की पहल की घोषणा की, जिसमें सनराइज फेस्टिवल, वॉर मेमोरियल म्यूज़ियम और बेहतर डिजिटल व सड़क संपर्क जैसे प्रोजेक्ट शामिल हैं।
