• The 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2025 was held on 22–23 September in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
• Organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government, the conference focused on the role of digital innovation in governance under the theme ‘Viksit Bharat – Civil Service and Digital Transformation’.
• The event was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister N. Lokesh also attended the inaugural session.
• The National Awards for e-Governance 2025 were presented during the conference, honouring 19 outstanding initiatives. These included 10 gold, 6 silver, and 3 jury awards across six categories, recognising excellence in innovation, service delivery, and digital governance.
• Over two days, the conference hosted 6 plenary and 6 breakout sessions with around 70 speakers from government, academia, and industry.
• Discussions covered topics such as Vizag’s emergence as an IT hub, AI-driven inclusive solutions, cybersecurity, benchmarking service delivery standards, Agri Stack for agriculture, and innovations at the grassroots level.
• Delegates from 28 States and 8 Union Territories participated. Exhibitions showcased India’s e-Governance achievements, while a Wall of Fame highlighted past award winners.
• The event fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange, reinforcing India’s commitment to leveraging digital transformation for good governance.
