3. General Knowledge (GK) Section Analysis (Q51–150)
The 100-question GK portion spanned Physics, Biology/General Science, Chemistry, History, Polity/Civics, Current Affairs and Geography. Physics (25 questions, 100 marks) leaned Moderate-to-Tough, with mechanics, electricity, optics, gravitation and thermodynamics requiring real conceptual application rather than plain recall. Biology/General Science (10 questions) and Chemistry (15 questions) were the most scoring sections, both landing in the Easy-to-Moderate band, built largely on NCERT-level facts around cell biology, digestion, acids-bases, hydrogen bonding and oxidation numbers.
History and Polity/Civics (10 questions each) stayed Moderate, covering the Lahore Session, Harappan trade, PESA Act, Panchsheel, Five-Year Plans and constitutional amendments. Current Affairs (10 questions) was Moderate-to-Tough, since it demanded precise recall of 2026 developments – BrahMos exports to Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, the Goldman Environmental Prize, DUSTLIK-2026, Vayu Shakti-2026 at Pokhran, and the Khelo India Tribal Games hosted in Chhattisgarh. Geography, the largest chunk of Part B at 20 questions, remained Moderate and touched weathering, Coriolis force, ocean currents, drought and rock types.

| Current Affairs | 10 | 40 | Moderate–Tough |
| Geography | 20 | 80 | Moderate |
| Total GK | 100 | 400 | Moderate overall |
4. What Made the GK Section Distinct
Another important observation from the NDA 2 GAT Paper Analysis 2026 is that there are a large number of statement, code, matching and list questions asked in the GK section. Of the total 100 questions asked from GK, 52 questions were of the normal MCQ type while 48 of them were a combination of various statements. The time-consuming aspect of this was that eliminating options on the basis of statements would take more time as compared to a direct question. English grammar, pairs and sequences have been analyzed separately because of their different nature from GK statement questions.
| GK Format (100 Qs) | Questions | Share |
| Direct / normal MCQs | 52 | 52% |
| Statement / code / matching / list format | 48 | 48% |
| Total | 100 | 100% |
