The wait is now becoming a bit longer. CDS 1 in 2026 was the first time when UPSC published a provisional answer key for CDS exam and allowed candidates to object; this is again the case this year, which means a result in late September seems unlikely. The CDS 2 2026 result date is expected to be the first half of October.
3. How to Check CDS 2 Result Date 2026?
Checking is simple. On the CDS 2 result date, UPSC puts up a PDF with the roll numbers of every candidate who cleared the exam. Steps are as follows-
- Go to upsc.gov.in.
- Look for the What’s New section on the homepage.
- Click the written result link for CDS (II) 2026.
- Open the PDF and press Ctrl+F to search for your roll number.
If your roll number is listed there Congratulations. You’ve made it to the SSB interview.
4. What You’ll See in the CDS 2 Result 2026 Date?
- Only the roll numbers of all the candidates who qualified the CDS 2 2026 exam, for IMA, INA, AFA and OTA
- No marks and No cutoffs are declared at this stage.
- Marks and cut-offs are declared later, within 15 days of the final OTA result, and stay online for 30 days

5. What Happens Next?
If you qualify the written exam the next step is the SSB interview. If the Indian Army is your first choice, register yourself on joinindianarmy.nic.in and you receive your SSB call letter which is the next phase.
With IMA, INA and AFA, your final rank is calculated on the basis of 600 marks by adding your written score and your SSB score. The last CDS 2 result was published on 30 March 2026, roughly six months after the CDS 2 result date.
