The balance profit is distributed in the proportion of the capital investment. At the year end, A gets rupees. 200 more than B and C together. Find the total profit?
Step-by-Step Solution
The complete worked solution.
Every step explained — no skipped algebra.
Profit ratio = (25 x 1 ) : ( 30 x 1) :
( 15 x 1 ) = 5 :6 :3
Let’s assume that the total profit is 100 % then the salary of A is 30 %, so the remaining profit is 70 %.
After breaking the remaining profit in the ratio A, B and C will get 25%, 30% and 15%.
Now the total amount of A will be 55%, where the sum of profits of A and B will be 45%, so the difference is 10% = 200 rupees
So the total profit = 100% = 2000 rupees.
