Why in News?
Senior IPS officer and former Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha has been appointed the next Director General (DG) of Delhi Home Guards by the Delhi government. A 1992-batch AGMUT cadre officer, Golcha will take charge on 1 October 2026, after the retirement of the current DG, Virender Singh, on 30 September.
