Why in News?
The Ministry of Rural Development has launched the National Campaign on Entrepreneurship-II under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). The campaign will run for three months, from 21 August to 21 November 2026, with a focus on promoting entrepreneurship among rural women and supporting the creation of 6 crore Lakhpati Didis. The campaign was launched on 21 August 2026, which is observed as World Entrepreneurs Day.

Key Highlights
- The campaign will focus on both Farm and Non-Farm enterprises run by women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- Greater attention will be given to enterprise handholding, formalisation, marketing and digital adoption.
- The campaign aims to support the broader goal of creating 6 crore Lakhpati Didis.
- The first edition of ‘Sankalp Shakti’, a Rural Enterprise Technical Bulletin, was also released.
- CRP-EPs and BDSPs will be recognised as ‘Udyam Sakhis’ to give greater visibility to community-level enterprise support workers.
- SHG products will be promoted through platforms such as ONDC and GeM, along with other digital and e-commerce platforms.
