Illinois State Senate has recognized August 15 as “National India Hub Day” in appreciation of the contributions made by the Indian-American community and the work done by the National India Hub, which is said to be the world’s largest Indian community hub.
The proclamation was made during INDIA FEST 2026 in Schaumburg, Illinois, which brought together more than 100 organizations, elected officials and members of the Indian American community to celebrate India’s Independence Day.

National India Hub
- The National India Hub has developed an innovative collaborative campaign wherein multiple groups working in similar fields come together and share volunteers, space, and resources to better serve the community.
- Instead of being in competition with each other, the organizations working within the National India Hub have joined forces to provide a greater variety of services and programs to the community. It has increased the community’s engagement and offered services ranging from volunteerism to culturally specific programming and social support to students, seniors, families and beyond.
